The Hohoe Divisional Police say they are investigating reports of a shooting incident which occured in Alavanyo and Nkonya in the Volta Region on Monday November 24.
The two towns are still under a curfew following recurrent clashes over a piece of land.

The Divisional Crime Officer of the Hohoe Divisional Police Command ASP Edward Otumi told Citi News that security officials on the ground had confirmed the shooting incidence but added that there is calm in the area.
“We have just heard that there was another shooting yesterday so we are moving there to investigate and see whether it is true or not,” he said
ASP Otumi added that they cannot confirm for now whether they will immediately arrest the culprits stating that “the allegations are coming from both sides because some people say it was coming from Nkonya and the Nkonya people say it was coming from Alavanyo,” he added.
