The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has announced intentions to replicate its “Aagbe Wͻ” demonstration nationwide.
The group on Wednesday embarked on a demonstration against government over what they described as harsh economic conditions.
The demonstration attracted thousands of supporters including some Members of Parliament (MPs) and some leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at a mini rally during the demonstration, the Director of Communications of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah said the demonstration wIll be held nationwide to place pressure on government to ensure economic prosperity.
He warned that “this is just the beginning. There will more demonstrations.”
According to him, it is s about time the government works towards alleviating the hardship citizens have been subjected to.
NDC member said it is about time Ghanaians sent a signal to the Mahama-led government of the plight.
