New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer hopeful, Francis Addai Nimo is pleading with delegates of the party to vote him to lead the party in the 2016 presidential election because he is the “only unifying force among the candidates.”
According to Addai Nimo, the NPP can only win power only if they are united before the 2016 election.

Addai Nimo who is also the Member of Parliament for Asante Mampong is contesting with with Alan Kyeremanten and Nana Akufo-Addo in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries on October 18.
Over 140,000 delegates of the party are expected to vote in the congress which will be held in all the 275 constituencies in the country including the party’s headquarters in Accra.
Citi News’ Brong Ahafo Correspondent, Kwadwo Brefo who was at the campaign tour reported that “He [Addai-Nimo] said if history is anything to go by then it is the turn of the New Patriotic Party to return to power after the NDC’s second eight year term that will end in 2016.”
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko has called for a cease fire among supporters of the candidates contesting in the congress.
According him, the “NPP is the only source of hope for our country men and women,” hence the need to go into the elections “united,” and present a better alternative to Ghanaians during the 2016 elections.
