A 45-year-old landlord, Godwin Kofi Nuku, was allegedly stabbed to death on Thursday night by his tenant during a quarrel, at Beat Nine Junction, a suburb of Aflao in the Volta Region.
The suspect whose name was only given as Kwame was alleged to have also bitten off the nose of the late Nuku.
Residents in the area said the late Nuku and Kwame quarreled at about 9 pm that night for reasons they could not tell.
According to them, the late Nuku, armed with a machete, allegedly confronted Kwame at his apartment about 100 metres away from his [Nuku]) apartment which later ensued in a scuffle resulting in the death of the victim.
Godwin Kofi Nuku was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival at the Ketu South Municipal Hospital in Aflao while Kwame was receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The Police have since confirmed the incident but said investigations are ongoing.
