A ten member board has been inaugurated to steer the affairs of the Ministry of Roads and Highways.
The Sector Minister, Alhaji Inussah Fuseini during the inauguration, expressed optimism that it will help the ministry develop policies that will enable the country achieve sustainable economic growth.

The Ministry has been critcized for the deplorable state of some major roads in the country.
Most of the roads in the country have become immotorable especially after the rainy season .
Some groups and residents in reaction demonstrated against government and urged it to fix the immediately.
Inussah Fuseini promised the 10 – member board of his utmost support to ensure they achieve the targets of the ministry.
“Considering your varied background, I have no doubt that with your cooperation and alacrity and tenacity of purpose, we will work together for the achievement of the ministries goals and objectives,” he said.
The Sector minister also assured that the ministry would do everything possible to see the board succeed.
“I wish to assure you that the ministry will endeavor to provide the board with the requisite resources and logistics to enhance the performance of its duties…hope that you will all unreservedly bring your rich experiences bare and play your part in moving the ministry forward inspite of the several challenges that we face.”
