Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee has labeled the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Upper West Region as the most fraudulent, after concluding meetings with MMDAs in the three regions of the North.
According to the Auditor General Department’s query from 2010 to 2012, the Upper West Region alone spent 63% of its statutory funds meant for development projects without proper documentation.
