A man believed to be in his thirties has jumped to his death from a telecommunication mast behind the Navrongo District Police Station in the Upper East region.
The body of the man, whose name is yet to be identified, has since been deposited at the Navrongo War Memorial Hospital.
Narrating the incident to Citi News, the Navrongo District Police Commander, ASP Abdul Latif Nbonwura said “at about 2 pm a young man who is about thirty was seen on top of a 120 wireless mast situated behind the Navrango District Police Station shouting I want to die, I want to die.”

“ At a point he jumped from the top to the ground and when he was sent to the hospital he died.”
ASP Abdul said “the body is now at the Navrongo memorial hospital pending post mortem examination.”
The World Health Organization’s in its first global report on suicide prevention, revealed that more than 800,000 people die by suicide every year.
It said more men die by suicide than women in richer countries, three times as many men die by suicide than women.
