The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced it will review its load-shedding timetable due to challenges with the generation.
The ECG released a load-shedding timetable in September but there have been complaints from the public about inconsistencies in the power outage schedules.
[contextly_sidebar id=”ulavKSzD87Gnsr6EhUBeMG8PD5hiAxIC”]The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ECG told Citi News admitted that the company was struggling to stick to the load-shedding schedule and will consider revising the timetable.
“We are having challenges with the deficit we used in drawing the timetable, anytime we exceed the quantum, customers that are not supposed to be off are put off.”
” In the last week we’ve had serious problems with frequency. We are in consultation with the generation and transmission companies who will give us a better understanding of the situation and then we’ll see whether there is a need for us to revise the timetable.”
