The University of Ghana’s 2014/2015 academic year will begin on Friday, September 5, 2014.
The academic year was supposed to begin on August 11, but was suspended due to a strike by the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).
A statement issued by the University of Ghana however noted that the University will re-open on Friday since UTAG has called off its strike.
“Following the decision of UTAG to call of its industrial action, its announced for the information of students and the general public that the University of Ghana will re-open for academic work with effect from Friday, 5th September, 2014”
The University further asked all students to report on that date for teaching to begin on September 8, 2014”

REOPENING OF THE 2014/2015 ACADEMIC YEAR FOR CONTINUING STUDENTS
Following the decision of UTAG to call off its industrial action, it is announced for the information of students and the general public that the University of Ghana will re-open for academic work with effect from Friday, 5th September, 2014.
Accordingly, all students are to report on that date for teaching to begin on Monday, 8th September, 2014.
