Some 28 teachers of the North Eastern Christian Academy (NECA), a Yendi based private educational institution, at the weekend received training in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to aid teaching and learning.
The teachers were taken through lessons such as preparation of lesson notes using Smart Notebook software and basic knowledge in computer application.
The Reverend Emmanuel Kwabena Mustapha, Director of NECA, speaking at the end of the programme, said the SMART Technology training was very effective in imparting knowledge to students.
Reverend Mustapha said the aim of NECA was to holistically train students to enable them to contribute to national development, especially in the area of technology.
Mr Desmond Koranteng Sarpong, Training Consultant, said one of the many benefits of the SMART technology system was that it developed the creativity of teachers as they applied ICT in lesson notes preparation.
