Apple will unveil the next generation of iPad tablets around mid-October, a person with knowledge of the plans told Bloomberg. The company hasn’t introduced a new iPad since last October.
Apple’s suppliers recently started manufacturing an updated 9.7-inch screen iPad, and were also set to enter production of a new version of the iPad mini, people familiar with the plans said.
Suppliers are also preparing to manufacture Apple’s largest-ever iPad, with a 12.9-inch screen, with production slated to begin by the first quarter of next year, the report said.
Technology blog Daily Dot reported earlier that the company was expected to unveil two new iPads next month.
