Ten out of the 20 pupils who made it into the semi final stage of the 2014 edition of the Citi FM Write-Away Contest have been shortlisted to contest for the final stage.
The 20 finalists were pruned to 10 after they were interviewed by a judging panel.
The panel determined whether the essays were truly written by the contestants and also interacted with them.
Citi FM’s Programmes’ Manager, Jessica Opare Saforo noted that the winners of the competition will be finally revealed at the grand finale on September 6, 2014.
Commenting on the general performance of the finalists, Ms. Opare Saforo said “most of the children came across as very articulate”, adding that “those who were scored high came through and proved they were worth the marks that we gave them.”

He further advised parents to “try as much as possible to write and find places in their hearts where their passion will begin to show.”
