The Minister of the Interior, Mr Mark Owen Woyongo, has advised security agencies to eschew partisan politics since it could conflict with their line of duty.
He said they should be fair and disciplined in all their endeavours as law enforcers and protectors of the country.
He said this on Tuesday during a tour of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the Police Headquarters.
He said the country appreciated the work of both the GNFS and the Police Service and that is why the government is putting in more efforts to provide them with more logistics.
Mr Woyongo said the government had put premium on the security agencies to improve on their equipment in a conscious effort to enable them work better.
He said, government is also making efforts to address both office and residential accommodation problems facing personnel for Fire Service personnel, adding that these would be budgeted for next year.
The Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan, said over the years the Police had serious challenge with their image and the Service had embarked programmes to redeem their image.
