Government is currently locked up in a crunch meeting with organized labour in a bid to get labour to rescind its decision to embark on a nationwide strike tomorrow.
The Trades Union Congress (TUC) and its allies have announced they will embark on a general strike tomorrow in protest against current economic challenges.
Moves to get them to rescind their decision, following a meeting with the minister of employment and labour relations Haruna Iddrisu and some other government officials yesterday, ended without a deal being reached on the matter.
Citi news has learnt the top executives of the TUC and all its allies including the railway workers union, the general Agricultural Workers’ Union, local government workers union, health service workers union, Ghana private road transport union among others are locked up in the meeting.
