South Africa’s Ncincilili Titi won the heat in a time of 20.66 seconds.
Emmanuel Dasor could not also qualify as he finised third in the heats in 21.06 seconds.
Danny Talbot of England topped that heat in a time of 20.56 seconds
Solomon Afful also failed to progress after finishing fourth in 21.02 seconds
Andre De Grasse of Canada won the race in 20.56 seconds.
Martha Bissah finished 8th in her 800m women’s heats in a time of 2:10.95. Canada’s Jessica Smith topped the race with 2:05.22 seconds
BADMINTON
In badminton, Emmanuel Donkor lost to Canada’s Andrew D’Souza in the Men’s singles round of 32 in two games of 21-12, 21-16
Daniel Sam also lost to Daren Liew of Malaysia 21-14, 21-16
In the women’s round of 32, Diana Sam lost to Xiayou Liang of Singapore 21-4, 21-2
In the Mixed Doubles Round of 32, Daniel Sam and Stella Amasah lost to South Africa’s Andries Laman and Jennifer Fry 21-6, 21-16
Ghana’s Evelyn Botwe and Abraham Ayittey lost to Australia’s Raymond Tam and Gronya Sommerville 21-12, 21-6 in the Mixed Doubles Round of 32.
Ghana will face New Zealand in another Mixed Doubles Round of 32 match later on Wednesday.
The Men’s Doubles Round of 32 match between Ghana and Canada wil take place later today.
Women’s Doubles Round of 32 between Ghana and New Zealand will happen later on Tuesday.

In boxing, Suleman Tetteh will face J.K Kaggwa in the Men’s Light Fly
TABLE TENNIS
Bernard Sam and Martha Adom-Amankwaa beat Vanuatu’s Alan Lin and Rosanna Abel by three matches to zero in the first round but lost to Jian Zhan and Tianwei Feng of Singapore in three matches.
The other group, Samuel Akayade and Celia Baah-Danso beat Yufraaj Dookram and Aleena Edwards by three matches to zero but lost to Welsh duo of Ryan Jenkins and Charlotte Carey by three matches to zero.
In the Men’s Doubles Round First Round, Samuel Akayade and Emmanuel Commey beat Andre Freeman and Calvin Lake of St. Kitts and Nevis.
