The Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command has given owners of abandoned vehicles and motorbikes the end of August to pick up them up or lose them forever.
This forms part of measures aimed at getting rid of abandoned vehicles and motorbikes at all Police Stations in the Brong Ahafo region,
The general public has since been informed the Police Administration will dispose-off all abandoned equipment and vehicles after 31st August 2014.
Individuals have been advised to contact the various Police Stations with the relevant documentation for identification and retrieval.
According to a press statement signed by the Brong Ahafo regional Police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah, all unclaimed vehicles after the said date will be disposed-off by the Police.
Explaining the reason for the directive, ASP Christopher Tawiah noted that those abandoned vehicles and motor bikes are occupying space which could have been used for parking new and future accident or detained vehicles.
He said Police Stations are not for dumping vehicles.
It is however expected that the owners will comply with the directive if only they want their vehicles back.
