An elated Asamoah Gyan has urged Ghana fans to make their presence felt at the World Cup after experiencing massive support during the Black Stars’ final warm up victory over South Korea in Miami.
Ghana stormed to a 4-0 win over the Koreans on Monday night as they wrapped up their preparations before turning their sights to Brazil.
Gyan, who scored a goal on the night as Jordan Ayew struck his first hat-trick for the national team is appealing to fans who will travel for the tournament to replicate the special support accorded the Black Stars at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami.
“Thank you to all the Ghanaians for your incredible support. We need that same energy in Brazil,” the Black Stars captain tweeted on his Twitter handle after the game against the Koreans.
The Black Stars striker now wants the same atmosphere in Brazil when Ghana open their group campaign against the United States on 16 June in Natal.
Gyan will be making his third appearance at the World Cup.
