Ghana Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Ali Muntari has signed a one year contract extension with Italian Giants AC Milan.
The deal is expected to keep the robust midfielder at AC Milan until 2016.
An official statement published on the AC Milan official website read “AC Milan announces that Sulley Muntari has renewed his contract to June 30, 2016.”
The 29-year-old scored five goals in 26 league appearance for Milan last season as the Serie A giants floundered, finishing in eighth place and missing out on European football for the first time since 1998.
Muntari signed a permanent deal with Milan before the start of last season after joining on loan from local rivals Inter Milan in January 2012.
Sulley Muntari lasted the entire duration in Ghana’s dramatic loss to the United States of America on Monday and is expected to play an active part in Ghana’s upcoming game against Germany on Saturday.
