The funeral ceremony of the late renowned fashion designer, Kofi Ansah will come off at the forecourt of the State House on Friday, May 30.
He will then be eternally laid to rest after cremation on Saturday, 31st May at Senya Bereku in the Central Region at a private interment by his family.
The late Kofi Ansah who was credited for designing the Ghana @ 50 anniversary fabric, died on Saturday, May 3 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
A statement from the family has announced that the attire for the funeral ceremony should be anything made by the late fashion designer or any fashionable outfit.
Until his death, Kofi Ansah was the owner of Artdress, a design and creative concept company through which he developed the art of clothing design, concept collections, and consultancy to develop products and company promotions, and the marketing of their products through fashion shows.
He is also credited for designing the costumes for the performers of both the opening and the closing ceremonies of the CAN 2008 African Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.
Kofi Ansah was a founding member and a past president of the Federation of African Designers and was one of foremost Ghanaian fashion designers to have received international recognition.
