Inter Allies head coach Herbert Addo is shocked at his team’s limp showing against Accra Hearts of Oak in Wednesday’s First Capital Plus Premier League match played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Tema-based team was beaten by a lone goal scored by Winful Cobbinah’s close range finish in the 64th minute but they were far from their best in contrast to the positive attitude that had given them wins in their last 4 league matches and the difference in attitude simply stunned Addo.
” Something must have gone wrong because that was not the team I worked with for a week before playing. The players showed the wrong kind of attitude and we were duly punished”, said Addo in an interview after the match.
However, Addo admitted that his former team, Hearts, played better than Inter Allies and the result was a fair reflection of the pattern of the match.
” Hearts were determined to win and that was obvious. Once the goal went in, we were never going to find a way back in the game. We give them credit for their work. Overall, it was an interesting match.”
Allies will take on Aduana Stars and Ebusua Dwarfs in their last two fixtures of the First Capital Plus Premier League.
