Citi Sports checks have revealed that Ayittey Powers will on Tuesday sign the contracts concerning his May 16 fight with Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku.
According to Alex Ntiamoah, CEO of Box Office Promoters, organisers of the much-awaited bout, Powers will confirm his participation in the bout after a brief meeting with the Ghana Boxing Authority and other stakeholders.
“Powers will definitely sign the papers tomorrow for the bout.
He wanted some time to think things over with his people and he has now decided to go ahead.
So, the May 16 date holds and he will complete everything tomorrow afternoon”, Ntiamoah said in an interview with Citi Sports on Monday
A few weeks back, Powers had announced his withdrawal from the bout originally scheduled for 18th April but a new date was finally agreed and both boxers are ready for the event.
SuperSport will broadcast the bout live across the African continent while TV3 will be the local broacasters of the event which has attracted the attention of boxing and non-boxing fans because of the various clashes the two rivals have engaged in as part of the build up to the bout to be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
