Kpando Heart of Lions have stated their intentions of a possible title challenge this season in the First Capital Premier League.
Lions currently lie second on the league log with 40 points and are ten behind Kotoko but have beaten Kotoko twice this season and got a 2-1 win over Hearts of Oak in Accra on Match Day 24.
They face Aduana Stars on Match Day 25 in Kpando on Wednesday and they are confident of winning that game and putting their hats for a run at the league title at the end of the season but they will not be hasty in their approach.
“We will just talk less and take the matches as they come.
If we end up having a title shot, we will take it because that is why teams compete in leagues in the first place”, said Eric Collins Odoom, the club’s Public Relations Officer in an interview with Citi Sports on Tuesday.
He continued, “We have to play Aduana during the week and that is our focus. We are going for the win and after that, we will see what happens.
Finishing in the Top Four has been our season’s target but we will take the title as a bonus only if comes our way.”
Lions will play away to Dwarfs, at home to Medeama, away to Amidaus, at home to King Faisal, and away to AshantiGold on the final day of the season.
