An Accra Circuit has rejected bail application for seven suspected Nima youth who allegedly attacked the Kotobabi police station on February 25, 2014.
They are Ibrahim Amadu, Francis Nabil, Abdullah Musah, Salifu Suraku, Alex Kwaw, Samuel Homadzi and Aliu Sulemana.
One of them, Aliu Sulemana who was allegedly manhandled by the police during their arrest is on admission at the hospital.
They were reported to have attacked some police officers at the Kotobabi police station over the killing of their colleague called Saddam Abdulai who died in a nightclub in Asylum Down, Accra.
They accused the police of killing Saddam Abdulai whom they claimed was not guilty of any crime.
Their lawyers have filed a bail application in the Human Rights court of the Accra High court seeking to overturn the Circuit court’s earlier ruling.
Judgement on the bail application is expected to be delivered on March 10.
