AirtelAirtel Ghana the leading telecommunications network in Mobile Banking has up-graded and expanded its mobile money platform by making it simpler for its customers to transact business.

Launching the platform in Accra, the CEO of Airtel Ghana, Philip Sowah stated we live in a world where time is becoming an essential commodity. We spend long hours in queues just to access goods and services, make payments or in traffic trying to move from one place to another. All this is done at the expense of productivity and stress on the body.

“Since the introduction of Airtel Money on the Ghanaian market, Airtel customers have enjoyed a variety of services and we keep on expanding the eco-system by working with numerous partners to bring convenience to the doorstep of consumers,’’ he said.

As the leader in mobile banking our platform allows customers to transfer money from their bank accounts to their mWallets and vice versa, across banks within the ecosystem and request for bank balances and mini statements.

In addition to our mobile banking services we have expanded our Cash Out services, where customers can cash out at any Fidelity and Ecobank ATMs, Airtel shops, partner banks and agents outlets across the country. Just look out for the Airtel Money signage.

The compliance manager of Airtel Money, Yaw Akosa Antwi noted that the old Airtel Money service platform has been replace with a new and more robust platform.

Instead of ‘’looking’’ for the AM menu on the phone, a customer can now dial *500# and the menu will show up automatically. Accessing the Airtel Money menu is now simpler, better and faster.

He further said another new addition to our services is our partnership with Zenith Bank and Vivo Energy Ghana to facilitate easy top up of Shell fuel cards.
