An aspiring national youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has promised to revive the spirit of volunteerism among the party’s youth.

He also promised to raise enough resources to revive the NPP’s youth wing if elected as the national youth Organizer.

“I made a promise that I will help them to raising resources to resource the NPP youth wing; get a working secretariat for our party youth wing and also to ensure that we get every youth of our party involved and every youth of Ghana who are sympathetic or not sympathetic to our party.”

According to Sammi Awuku who is on a nationwide campaign tour, the NPP cannot afford to lose the 2016 elections and that the youth will play a vital role to ensure the victory.

In an interview with Citi News, Sammi Awuku described as very fruitful his meeting with party delegates across the country.

He reiterated his pledge to be at the fore front of the struggle to move the NPP from opposition to government.

“I have promised them that I will be at the forefront of the struggle for us to move the party from minority to majority in Parliament and to move from opposition to government.”

He said rebranding the NPP to make it attractive to the youth of Ghana will be his major priority.

Sammi Awuku condemned what he described as politics of smear campaigns against other aspirants in the NPP national contest.
