Mas-ud Didi Damani, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has chastised, the fans of the club for calling for substitutions in their 1-0 victory over Amidaus Professionals on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
He has described the calls by the fans as unnecessary, because such chants doesn’t change his mind.
“We work as professionals and the supporters don’t know the players better than us, so such shouts for changes were unnecessary, because they can not have any effect on my decision.
“A player like Abdul Aziz that the fans were calling for his substitution was doing well in the game, despite missing one or two chances, which even a player like Cristiano Ronaldo does in a game,”
“I even expected them to applaud Stephen Oduro for staying on till the 70th minute, but they were rather annoyed for his substitution,” he said this in a post-match interview.
Kotoko are the only side to win all their home matches this season and are on top of the league table with 12 points separating them from Hearts of Oak, who are lying 2nd.
