Team manager of Asante Kotoko, Goldwin Ablordey, has stated that his team will not let up in its efforts to win a third straight Ghanaian league title.
The Reds are on top of the league table with 40 points from 17 matches and they take on Amidaus Professionals at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday in a bid to extend their lead.
However, Ablordey, has told Citi Sports, in an interview on Tuesday that the huge gap over Hearts of Oak would not affect their hunger to win the rest of their matches in the season.
” There are a lot of matches to be played and we must win them. Our job is to focus on what the fixtures we are yet to play.
I can understand if some teams believe we are way ahead of the rest of the teams, but we will not be drawn into the mind games so we lose our way.
We just want to win our matches and that is our concern.”
Kotoko will now have to compete for the MTN FA Cup and the First Capital Plus Premier League after their elimination from the CAF Champions League in the first round.
