The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has told Citi News
, the National Executive Committee of the party may consider possible suspension or expulsion of Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey.
According to him, “the executive committee shall make any recommendation that it deems fit to promote discipline within the party, including suspension and expulsion of any member.”
Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey is facing the disciplinary committee of the NPP for his harsh criticisms against the star witness of the petitioners in the ongoing election petition case, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In an interview with Citi News
Mr. Owusu Afriyie indicated that the party is waiting to implement the recommendations of the National Executive Committee adding that when the recommendations are received, "we shall then convene executive committee meeting where upon this shall be looked at."
