Management of the National Vocational Training Institute, (NVTI) has collaborated with the National Board for Professional and Technician Examination, (NABTEX) to ensure that NVTI graduates are able to further their education in other institutions of higher learning.
This comes after series of revelations by some graduates of NVTI schools that they have difficulties in pursuing further studies with their certificates because it is not recognised by the various tertiary institutions in the country.
According to the Director of NVTI, Stephen Bismark Amponsah his outfit is hopeful of closing the deal by the third quarter of this year.
In an interview with Citi News
Stephen Bismark Amponsah noted that although the mandate for NVTI is on employment bases, “NVTI qualification is also targeted towards self employment.”
He revealed that the deal with NABTEX would enable graduates will “take an additional mathematics, English and Integrated science so that they can qualify directly to go and do HND.”
He called on all who are “apprehensive to hold their peace because before the third quarter of this year all these things will be put in place.”
