MTN employee receives educational materials from Police woman
On the occasion of the international women’s day, MTN wishes to acknowledge the enormous contributions made by Ghana’s illustrious women towards the country’s development.
MTN applauds the efforts of all of female employees as well as all women in Ghana who continue to work hard to provide quality products and services to customers and help drive the country’s development.
Women’s contributions to child care and the general sustainability of the family and the nation in general is commendable.
Their contribution to the growth of the economy, business and society in general cannot be overstated. it is in recognition of this, that MTN extends her complements to all women.
Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, paid glowing tribute to women, particularly MTN staff and partners, for their sacrifices and commitment to the organisation’s growth and the country as a whole, while urging them to continue to pursue excellence and aim at being the best in all their endeavours.
She added, “at MTN we believe an empowered woman is an inspiration to all.We are proud to have some of the best female brains in this country occupying very key positions in our organisation and they continue to contribute to growing MTN and the country.”
We are equally proud of all our female partners and suppliers, who continue to deliver outstanding results in the telecoms industry.
MTN Ghana is committed to the development and welfare of women in all parts of the country.
A particular focus on maternal healthcare and the ultimate wellbeing of women has seen the MTN Ghana foundation commission several projects aimed at improving maternal and child mortality.
These include a newly constructed 20-bed maternity block, fully furnished with medical equipment and furniture for the Ejisu government hospital in the Ashanti region.
In addition, MTN Ghana foundation has refurbished the maternal blocks of Effia Nkwanta government hospital and the second floor of the Korle Bu teaching hospital.
Another area of equal importance to MTN is increasing access to education and ICT facilities.
MTN looks forward to another year of greater opportunities for Ghanaian women, and greater investments in our communities, in order to empower our women to become the best they can be.
May 2013 and the years ahead be a whole lot brighter for the Ghanaian woman.
