TV3 has handed over prizes to the winners of season six of its reality show, Ghana’s most beautiful.
The presentation follows three months of excitement and competition after which Emefa Adeti from the Volta Region emerged winner.
She takes home a brand new Hyundai Accent and a cash prize of GHC 7,000 with one year supply of clothes worth GHC 5,000 from GTP. Emefa, 23, also becomes the first contestant from the Region to wear the crown.
Hannah Ampomah Mensah from the Central Region, who was the first runner-up, took home a GHC 6,000 cash prize and a six month supply of clothes from GTP.
Second runner-up, Eno Adwoa Anima of the Ashanti Region, took home a cash prize of GHC 5,000 and a three month supply of clothes.
A finalist, Afiba Anyanzua Anyanzu, who represented Western Region also took home 4,000 cedis cash price and a three month supply of clothes.
The highest texters Diana Fafa Adeti and Adeti Senyo Kudzo also took home a Hisense LED tv and microwave oven respectively.
According to event organisers, TV3, the show is meant to inculcate in the youth, Ghana's rich cultural values and norms.
"The idea is to let them learn from each other. These cultural challenges are there so if we don’t imbibe this in them we will lose them," the CEO of TV3. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare told Citi News
“This is to demonstrate the genuineness of what the whole programme is about. Sometimes when you have some of these events coming out, people think it is a fluke,” he noted.
The winner of the show, Emefa Adeti on her part said she was humbled by the award and grateful to God because the road had been very challenging and competitive.
She advised young girls to imbibe the values of discipline, obedience and hardwork and advocated for peace in the lead up to the December elections.
