Private Sector scheduled to dialogue with gov’t
Private Sector scheduled to dialogue with gov’t Business owners, CEO’s and top executives of a number of companies will be converging in Accra on November 15, to share expertise and strategize for 2013 at the Ghana Economic Outlook and Business Strategy Conference.

The conference is being organized by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre in collaboration with its stakeholders. It will be under the theme, 'Strategy for a Good Year 2013', and will be under the patronage of President John Dramani Mahama.

Explaining the rationale behind the initiative, the President of the Dominion University College, Dr Ekow Spio Gabrah said: “Strategic planning for businesses is almost always in the last quarter of the year; so most companies will not develop their 2013 strategic planning in April, May or June; taking into considerations global projections for interest rates, exchange rates, inflation etc.”

The Ghana Economic Outlook and Business Strategy Conference is being organized by the GIPC in collaboration with the Trade Ministry, the Dominion University College Business School, The Africa Business Media (publishers of Ghana Business and Finance Magazine) on the 21st of November at the Accra International Conference Centre.

During the event, the Chief Executive Officers in the private sector will be given the chance to make suggestions and inputs into government’s program for the 2013 fiscal years and also present elements of their own strategic plans aimed at enabling Ghana continue to be among the fastest growing countries in the World.

Organizers told Citi Business News, the conference is crucial as government will have the last opportunity to factor suggestions from the private sector into the budget proposals for 2013 in view of the elections, it is generally understood that the budget that will be presented this month would be subject to some modifications by early next year.
