The Institute of Economic Affairs’ (IEA) Evening Encounter series with the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is expected to come off on August 9.
Nana Addo was initially expected to take his turn on the platform on July 5 but the Institute subsequently postponed the programme without assigning reasons for its decision.
The presidential candidates of the People’s National Congress (PNC) and the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr. Edward Mahama and Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, have already taken their turn on the platform over the past two weeks.
The IEA Evening Encounter series is a platform designed for political parties and their Flagbearers to interact with a cross-section of Ghanaians through Civil Society and other interest-group representation ahead of the general elections.
After each presentation, representatives of the various civil society groups pose direct questions, seek clarifications or comment on the presentation.
