Male students of Abuakwa State College in the Eastern Region, are battling with different types of skin diseases following a prolonged water shortage.
Bedbugs have also taken over both the male and female dormitories.
The situation coupled with the unavailability of water, has put the health of students at risk.
Citi News’ Eastern Regional Correspondent, Kwame Appiah Kubi, says the Ghana Water Company in Kyebi has not been able to supply enough water to the school due to the cost involved in treating the water.
Some of the students told Appiah Kubi that they are forced to attend classes without bathing.
In recent, several parts of the country have been hit with severe water shortage, some of which have been blamed on activities of illegal miners in water bodies often treated by the Ghana Water Company.
