We won’t stop training our security guys – NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said the deportation of the three retired Police officers who were training the security personnel of the party’s flagbearer and running mate will not stop the party from training its people.

The three ex-South Africans Police officers were repatriated on Tuesday more than a week after they were arrested for illegally training the security personnel of Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.

Government deported the ex-security officers despite a pending court case.

Meanwhile, unhappy about the situation, the Director of Communications for the NPP, Nana Akomea at a press conference said the party will find other ways to train its security men.

“The action of the NDC government in deporting the three South Africans who were offering training to our people will not stop the NPP from going ahead to properly train our people to offer better protection. We would find a way of upgrading their training. So that will not worry us.”

He further called on the President to ensure that the refusal of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to allow the retired South African Police officers to be receive bail is investigated and the culprits dealt with.

“We are calling on the president to have this matter investigated and whoever in BNI caused the organization to infringe the very laws that they are meant to protect, those persons should be punished,” he added.
