The newly refurbished Adomi bridge in the Eastern Region, has been opened to traffic after President John Mahama officially commissioned it on Saturday.
The bridge was closed for about two years for works to be done on the bridge which was constructed under Ghana’s first President Kwame Nkrumah.
The rehabilitation work on the bridge cost Ghana an estimated €13 million.
It is a major connecting route for commuters from the Greater Accra, Eastern and Volta Regions.
