Mahama to meet gold winning Black Queens on Sunday

Ghana’s female national team the Black Queens will finally get an opportunity to meet the president of the republic John Dramani Mahama on Sunday the 25th of October.

The Queens exceeded expectations and brought pride and honor to the nation following their gold winning feat at the just ended All Africa games held in Congo Brazzaville.

Issues of winning bonuses marred a rather historic moment as the triumph was the first time the Queens had won any trophy for the nation.

But come Sunday the 25th of October, the President of the republic who was in the U.S when the team arrived from Congo, will host the ladies at the Flagstaff House.

The president is expected to use the occasion to discuss issues of the team’s unpaid bonuses and restructure remuneration packages for the various national teams.

During the misunderstanding over unpaid bonuses, President Mahama ordered that the Queens be given 5,000 dollars each as efforts were being made to address the matter.
