Pastor T.B Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), has made a donation of three (3) Toyota Pickups and twenty (20) Yamaha Motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service.

The church, known for huge charity projects across the world with its headquarters in Nigeria, has a branch in Ghana.

The leader of the SCOAN delegation that made the donations, Mr. Sackey, said “the church has keenly observed the innovation and initiatives that have been brought to the police service and hope their donation will enhance the work already being done by the police.”

He further commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Alhassan Mohammed, on the introduction of the police visibility initiative, community policing, the rapid response of the police to emergencies, and the IGP’s appointment as a Police Advisor to the UN Secretary General.

“The church believes that the cornerstone to transformation in the society is based on love”, Mr. Sackey stated.

In his address, the Inspector General of Police, Alhassan Mohammed indicated that, “we cannot close our eyes for criminals to overcome our country. Government alone cannot secure the country, hence, society must assist”.

“The Police Service will continually need the support of the citizens to successfully discharge its mandate. The Churches are emerging as strong partners of the Police in the discharge of our duties”, he said.

The IGP said the motorcycles will further assist their new strategy of having armed personnel on motorcycles to help the police meander their way through inaccessible areas.

The IGP thanked Pastor T.B Joshua for the gesture, indicating that it will go a long way to enhance the work of the service in combating crime.
