The Sagnarigu District Assembly in the Northern Region has begun constructing its administration complex at the cost of GHC1.6 million.
The building is expected to provide 24 office spaces, a multipurpose hall for assembly meetings and an administrative hall.

At the ground breaking ceremony, the Sagnarigu District Chief Executive, Alhassan Mohammed Sorigudoo described the project as timely.
He commended the assembly’s development partners for their continuous support to augment his administration’s development agenda.
Alhassan Mohammed Sorigudoo said government’s Better Ghana agenda was on course and that Sagnarigu will not be left out.
He called for peaceful co-existence and closer collaboration with the traditional authorities to develop the district.
He further encouraged the youth to shun indiscipline and consider education as the panacea to global challenges in life.
The Chief of Sagnarigu, Naa Yakubu Abdulai scolded government functionaries in the region for failing to attend the occasion.
Of particular mentioned were the Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu. Hon. Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini and the Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Hon. Alhassan Dahamani
He recounted similar instances peculiar to the Sagnarigu District and thus called for a behavioral change in that regard.
Naa Yakubu implored residents of the Sagnarigu District to cultivate the habit of tree planting.
He promised to use his palace to serve as a catalyst to environmental management and good sanitary practices.
